Question

I would like to ask if you have any resources that have the sanad for the benefit of different durood shareef.

I was using the fareedi majmu'ah wazaa'eef and wanted to know specifically the thawaab for durood e mustaghath and durood e akbar and du'aa sa'tir rizq. They have the thawaab in the book but it is in Urdu. And I do not speak Urdu nor do I have access to someone who can translate for me.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

Walaikum assalam,

1. See the article below regarding the merits of sending peace and blessings on the Beloved of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace).

2. The best of forms of sending blessings are those transmitted in the sunna of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) himself.

3. The other forms have great merit, too, as they also capture the spirit of the guidance and teachings of the Qur’an and Sunna.

4. One should perform one’s worship and remembrance out of slavehood, with a heart full of longing, love, and thankfulness. One does not seek the reward in of itself but because it indicates the Pleasure of Allah.

5. The more fruitful way of systematically doing particular dhikrs is to take them from recognized righteous scholars of the spiritual path, as this acts as a focused means of self-change on the path to spiritual excellence and proximity to the Divine.

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
