Question

I am a convert of three years and have been studying sacred knowledge for this time. I would now like to go abroad to further my studies but my mother would prefer me to enrol in university first. I will be 22 by the time I finish university and I feel this will limit the amount of time I can spend abroad, and so would prefer to enrol ina madrasa overseas first, for a period of 6-7 years, and then upon my return take a degree at university. Could you please provide some advice on this, and the manners of the true seeker of knowledge.
