Question
how much more reward do we get during tahajjud if we sleep before it as opposed to not sleeping before it? in laylatul qadr time is too precious to waste it by sleeping so how can we get the full reward for tahajjud if we dont sleep at all?
Answer
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,
I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits. In the "special nights" the sunna itself is to remain awake, engaged in worship. Otherwise, tahajjud is night prayer (qiyam al-layl) that is preceded by sleep.
