Head Hunting Business Halal ?

AssalamuAlaikum, It is a type of business where a consulting company has links with different technology companies and they help them find right candidates for vacant job positions. People are hired as employees of consulting firm and then they are placed in the technology company based on their skillsets. In most cases people are not aware of what the consulting company is charging the other company for their services and big part of their salary is taken by the consulting firm without the knowledge of the employee, in some cases with their knowledge, every month, 60%-40%, 70%-30%, etc. The people who get hit badly by this phenomenon are H1B visa holders who are tied to consulting firm who sponsored their visa and they misuse their situation by negotiating unreasonable deals. My question is, Is head hunting halal in the first place when the head hunter is eating up a part of salary every single month ?

This type of contracts takes many forms. However, if the amount the employee is getting paid is known to them, then it is not of direct consequence how much the employing company is paying the consulting firm.
