Question

Does confusion regarding one's beliefs take one out of Islam? And doubts?

Answer

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The cure for confusion is asking."

It is integral to faith to accept the prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the guidance he came with. If one has doubts, one should immediately (1) affirm that, "I believe whatever is true and most beloved to Allah," and then (2) immediately take the means to clear the doubt--by asking reliable scholars, for example. This is the counsel of Imam Abu Hanifa when it comes to confusions regarding one's faith.

And Allah alone gives success.
