Question

I am presently considering someone for marriage and we have pretty much decided that we want to get married but have to wait until we both finish our studies and he can get a job to support us financially. My question is that is it permissible for him to see me without my hijaab - given that we will be insha'Allah getting married soon and he has seen me previously without hijaab (when I wasn't observing pardah in the past)

Answer

No, it is not permitted for your fiancé to see you without hijab.

Islamically, until you have the nikah performed, you are strangers, and must condition your behavior accordingly. There are countless cases of people getting close, but never marrying, leaving scars which affected them individually and affected their subsequent marriages for ever.
