Question

I have been married 15 months and have just left my husband due to his mother causing friction in our relationship. My husband has been promising me that we will move out for the past 7 months but still hasn’t. I love my husband and don’t want our marriage to go to waste but his family is causing alot of problems between us. Please advise this sister to what she should do to save her marriage. My husband n l got to know each other over the telephone and we performed istikhara and we got married. I have been living with his mum (who is separated), 2 teenage sisters and young brother since we got married. Alhamdu lillah my husband has done hajj and we are both practising but his family is not. Prior to getting married my husband gave me his word and assured me that before any friction arises we will move out but it has come to the stage where my family and my husbands family don’t speak. And my husband and l were quarrelling frequently due to the lack of privacy and time to ourselves. I have returned to my parent’s home because my mother in law has caused alot of fitna in our marriage. I have tried to do sabr but my in laws are turning my husband against me. What should I do? My husband is refusing to have any communication with me and there are no third parties involved to resolve my situation. My husband gave his zabaan (word) that we will move out but is now refusing to do so and threatening to issue talaaq. Please advise. Jazakallah khair. From a very desperate sister and in dire need.
