Question

Help!! I Addressed a College class on women in Islam. The instructor said that it was too bad there was no hadith to support my statement that domestic violence was detested. Please give me as many Hadith as possible to prove that the Prophet (PBH) spoke against this. It is my duty to correct her.

Wife Beating

Why does the Qur'an give husbands the right to beat their wives? This sounds like pure savagery. Are women to be treated as animals? This has always distressed me.
