Covering the Head for Qur'an

Is it necessary (for women) to cover the head when reciting or listening to Qur'an recitation? What are the rulings for this?
Walaikum assalam,
It is better to do this, but not obligatory (Unless, of course, one is in the presence of men who are not immediate family, but that goes without saying…)
