How could you love another before marriage?

Many people have asked questions regarding being in love with people they are not married to. I don't understand. How is it possible to be in love with someone you haven't married yet?

This can occur through lawful or unlawful interaction. The latter is obvious. Your question, then, would be: how could lawful interaction lead to love?

The scholars mention that people love others because of their beauty, their ways, and how they are towards one. All of these can be realized in a halal manner.
