I would like to ask for a solution? My problem is that I am a divorcee with a daughter. Almost a year ago I met a guy started liking him he proposed me and everything was fine just recently after a year he went and told his family about me first of all they don’t want him to marry me because I am a divorcee, then there was a topic about my daughter, they came with different issues but somehow my boyfriend convinced them to meet me and after meeting me they want to go for istikhara and they said incase if in istikhara we will not get a good sign we cannot approve this marriage I am really confused about the whole thing as I can feel it that they will say that the istikhara is not in our favor. I am with him from past one year we have sexual relations and we are very close to each other I desperately wants to marry him please tell me can we go against the istikhara?
Assalamu Alaikum,
If the Istikhara is not in your favor, you should accept that wholeheartedly. There must be some good in it. You should also think good about a Muslim and not let negative thoughts about Muslims overwhelm you.
