Question

Is it permissible for me to accept wealth that was set aside for me by my non-Muslim father as a bequest?

Answer

Yes, this is permissible for you, unless you know that the specific wealth that was set aside as a bequest for you came into your father's possession through a means not sanctioned by Sacred Law, such as usurious gain (riba) or other unlawful [h: transactions]. If this were the case, it would be unlawful for you to accept it.
