Question

What time is best to get married based on the example of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), i.e. month, date, time of day

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the inspirer of truth,

The best time would be a Friday, any Friday of the year and the nikah preferably be performed in a masjid.

Ibn Abidin mentioned in Rad al-Muhtar ala Dur al-Mukhtar that:

The marriage contract (aqd) should be performed in the masjid because of the command of it mentioned in the hadith and it should be on a Friday.

Note: It is mentioned in Bazaziya as follows: Consummation of the marriage and marriage contract between the two Eids is permissible and the procession of taking the bride to the groom is disliked, but the preferred opinion is that it is not disliked because the Prophet got married to Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) in Shawwal (month between the two Eids) and the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) consummated the marriage…

(Allama Ibn Abidin, Rad al Muhtar ala Dur al-Mukhtar pg 8 Vol.3)

And Allah alone knows best

Ilyas.
