Why don’t Hanafis accept Malikis? Why don’t Salafis accept others?

Why are there so many different ways of praying. For example why doesn't a Maliki accept that the Hanifi prayer is correct and adopt his prayer. Why do the Salafis NOT accept the Hanafi prayer?

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

On the contrary, we accept and respect the various understandings within Sunni Islam as being valid ijtihads to operationalize the sunna and guidance of the Beloved of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace).

We may disagree with others, but respect their right to differ when it arises out of sound scholarly bases, as between the 4 Sunni schools.

This is the difference between the tolerance of traditional Sunni Islam and the intolerant calls of those who insist that everyone unite by following their views.
